AImbience: An Origin Story

We’re incredibly excited to announce our latest AI product, AImbience.

AImbience: An Origin Story

Its hard to keep up with the ever-changing demands of people, processes and technology in complex projects.

And in between keeping stakeholders happy and preparing reports, real value must be delivered.

AImbience creators, Dean and Joel, have plenty of big project experience as business owners, subject matter experts, and senior responsible officers.

With our interest in helping people with technology, we naturally looked toward advances in AI to help.

The spark.

We started with “Let’s make documentation easier.”

Documentation and reporting are often the most maligned aspects of projects.

A no-brainer with all the time it takes to prepare reports as well as stay across different documents, updates, emails, and meeting minutes.

But first, we needed to check with customers.

Chase the pain.

“What is the most challenging part of project management?”

Our intensive industry engagement conversations typically started with this question.

The majority of responses were, as we expected: Documentation.

But, as the conversations flowed, the answers changed.

The pivot.

“I know at the beginning I said documentation, but actually it’s…”

  • People
  • Conflict
  • Ass-covering
  • Ego
  • Hidden agendas
  • Bored executives
  • And People again.

Complex projects happen in complex environments.

Despite what’s in documentation, it’s often what’s not documented that can delay, derail and destroy projects.

And so our attention turned away from automating documentation to the higher order requirements of complex project management.

The tricky, scary and sometimes ignored aspects of risk and interactions that threaten project success.

How can we help humans be great humans when complexity and risk threaten success.

Introducing: AImbience

AImbience helps to address these challenges by providing a trusted source of truth for project insights and patterns.

AImbience looks under the covers and identifies truths across key project success factors: not just deliverables but relationships, conflict, behaviour and of course, documentation.

AImbience – project success through grounded truth.
